Our mission

Make the daily shelf smaller.

Upkeep exists to replace four containers with one stick, and to print every number on the front of the pack where you can actually see it.

From the founder

Every morning I was putting three things into the same water bottle. A scoop of creatine. A scoop of energy drink powder. An electrolyte packet. Three containers, three scoops, one bottle, and no good reason for it to be three.

That is where Upkeep started.

My name is Trinny Donhoff. As an athlete and a student, I have always valued two things: efficiency, and quality that holds up when you look at it closely. The supplement aisle rarely offers both.

So Upkeep is one stick: a daily maintenance dose of creatine, caffeine from yerba mate, and the electrolytes that used to come from a separate packet. Eight ingredients, with every dose printed on the front of the pack, because a short list only means something if you can read it.

Why this exists

The rule came before the recipe

Four products are easier to sell than one honest one. A single product has to admit exactly what is inside it. Four products can each hide behind a blend.

So the rule came first, before the formula. Eight ingredients. Every dose printed on the front of the pack, not the back. No proprietary blends, because a proprietary blend is mostly a place to hide how little of something is in there.

That rule has cost us things, and we think that is the point. It is why Upkeep is a powder and not a drink: creatine slowly breaks down in water, and a can that sat in a warehouse for four months cannot promise what its label says. It is why we are launching with two flavours instead of four. It is why some products on our roadmap are marked 2029 instead of being implied into existence.

What we promise

Four things we will not trade away

Every dose on the front If a number matters, you should not have to turn the box over to find it.
No proprietary blends You see the amount of every ingredient, or we do not sell the product.
We say what is not ready Anything on the roadmap carries a year. Nothing is implied into existing.
Short lists, always If something can only be made by hiding what is in it, we do not make it.

And what we will not do

  • Tell you this treats, cures or prevents anything. It is a drink mix with a short list of ingredients, and that is all we will ever claim for it.
  • Write "natural flavors" on a label and leave it there. If we cannot name the plant, it does not go in.
  • Add ingredients that make the factory's job easier at the cost of yours. No maltodextrin, no silicon dioxide, no filler standing in for substance.
  • Sell a product because the name would move units. The formula has to earn it first.

First run is small. The list gets it first.

Twenty thousand sticks, two flavours, one production run. We will write when the taste tests are done and again when boxes are ready to ship.
